What is the One-Time Password (OTP) and how does it work?

For added security, Kin uses One-Time Passwords (OTP) to verify your identity each time you log in to make changes. This ensures that only you can access your account.

How it works:

After entering your email and password, you'll be asked to verify your identity with a one-time code sent to either:

  • Your phone number on file (via text message)
  • Your email address

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. After entering your login credentials, you'll see the OTP selection screen
  2. Choose whether to receive the code via Text or Email
  3. Click Send Code
  4. Wait a few moments for the code to arrive
  5. Enter the 6-digit code in the boxes provided
  6. Click Verify
  7. You'll be logged into your portal

Important details:

  • Do not share this code with anyone else. Kin will never proactively contact you for this code.
    • If you did not make a request for a One Time Password code, please contact Customer Support at (855) 216-7674
  • The code remains valid until you refresh the page or navigate away
  • You can request a new code by clicking Resend Passcode (available after 30 seconds)
